Will Perkins has been performing at ragtime and jazz festivals since the age of 14. His love for traditional jazz and ragtime piano have led him to opportunities to perform at music festivals around the United States and beyond. Will has been a featured performer at the Bohem Ragtime and Early Jazz Festival in Kecskemet, Hungary, and at the Buenos Aires Ragtime Festival in Argentina. He has also performed at the West Coast, Scott Joplin, Sutter Creek and many other festivals around the country.
Will and his wife, McKenna, are attending the second year of their studies at the prestigious North Bennet Street School in Boston. Will is attending the piano technology program, recently attaining status as a Registered Piano Technician, and McKenna is enrolled in the cabinetry and furniture-making program. Both are enjoying their new adventures. This past summer, Will was honored to work under master piano techs at the Tanglewood Music Festival, helping to keep over 50 Steinways tuned and regulated. When not working on pianos, Will could be heard playing rambunctious music in practice rooms throughout the Tanglewood campus.
