John Partridge has been a regular feature in the musical scene around Northern California for over 30 years. He was introduced to ragtime in the 1970’s and wrote his first rag shortly after that. Since then he has performed in ragtime festivals around the country. His music has been featured on KUSF’s “The Ragtime Machine” radio program.

Besides ragtime, John has composed piano and organ works, a ballet, an opera, music for film and dance, and a large number of church compositions.

He is currently Music Director at El Cerrito United Methodist Church and teaches ragtime and classical piano.
