Updated 7/31/2007 |
Returning to the festival from Gilroy, California, are ragtime duo pianists Jack and Chris Bradshaw. Playing ragtime selections in Jack’s unique four-hand arrangements, these two energetic players produce a varied and colorful sound with a sparkle reminiscent of old-time piano rolls. In addition to their duo performances, Jack also plays classic and new ragtime solos to round out their programs. In the three years that they have been performing together, Jack and Chris have appeared at the Sutter Creek, Fresno Flats, RagFest, Shaniko, Scott Joplin, Blind Boone, Cascade and West Coast Ragtime Society festivals. They’ve also appeared at the Old Town Music Hall in El Segundo, and can be heard regularly at Sacramento Ragtime Society and South Valley Music Makers meetings. Jack and Chris have performed widely in the US, and both are classically trained, with masters degrees in music. |
