This is Shirley’s third RagFest appearance. Her repertoire features the masterworks of Eubie Blake, Scott Joplin and many of the women who composed and published their piano compositions during the original ragtime era. She’ll be featured in solo this weekend, as well as in duets with her fellow ragtimers. |

classically trained pianist holding advanced degrees in Piano Performance, Shirley
Case has taught piano from her studio in Laguna Beach for more than 30
years. Recent visits to the Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival in Sedalia, MO,
introduced her to the joys of ragtime – and to America’s rich heritage in
this wonderful music. She has been performing ragtime at various festivals ever
since, and has become a frequent performer at the many and various Orange County
Ragtime Society events held in Fullerton since November 2001.
