Jim Radloff began ‘playing’ piano at the age of 3 by mimicking radio commercials and plays primarily by ear. During college he played in saloons and piano bars. From 1975 – 1992 he had the Jim Radloff band. Since 1989 he has concentrated on ragtime, early jazz, blues and old vaudeville tunes. His passion for historical American music of the 1890’s – 1930’s led to the formation of the Chippewa Valley Ragtime Society (cvragtime@earthlink.net) in 2001.

Born and raised in Wausau, Wisconsin, Jim is a licensed clinical social worker, with a BS in correctional administration and a masters degree in social work. He served in the peace corps in the Dominican Republic from 1963-1965.

Jim produces the Eau Claire Ragtime Festival held each January. All proceeds are donated to local charities, see (www.firstucceauclaire.org). He performs interactive concerts, customized piano performances for private, corporate, school lyceums, civic, cultural events and any special occasion .
