Dynamic and sassy, Molly Kaufmann is a hit with audiences everywhere. She has performed at the famous historic Strater Hotel, in Durango, Colorado for 28 years, and has appeared at many ragtime festivals across the nation including most of the Central City Jazz festivals. She has entertained steam-boaters on the famous riverboats Delta and Mississippi Queen, and even brought ragtime to the Gold Coast of Australia as a star of the American Ragtime Company. Since 1995, Molly has been pianist and premiere vocalist for the Jubilee Hot 7 Traditional Jazz Band, aka the Denver NightHawks. She is also the pianist for the Mile High Banjo Society, the Fat City Mardi Gras Band, and the Trail Dusters (western music). More recently she has been playing electric bass (!) with the Denver Ukulele Orchestra. This year, before gas prices started rising, she decided to mix work with travel and is now entertaining at over 130 senior facilities in 4 different states. In her spare time, she plays tennis, studies astrology, and practices the electric bass. |
