Enya Kuo, age 18, is a senior at Irvington High School in Fremont and has performed at the Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival and Sacramento Music Festival as well as in other ragtime concerts across California. She is a two-time first place winner of the West Coast Youth Ragtime Competition, and she is excited about her third year performing in the West Coast Ragtime Festival. Enya discovered ragtime about two years ago when she entered the youth competition, and her love for ragtime began when she found herself laughing while playing her very first rag. That love has only grown as she has added to her repertoire. After her performance in the Master Class two years ago, she was invited to stay and play on the Sunday morning youth concert. In her spare time, Enya is heavily involved in journalism and student civics education, and she loves to eat dark chocolate.
