Sean Sharp is back for his seventh West Coast Ragtime Festival. This year (2016) he will present Dixie Days an illustrated-songs program of Dixie tunes, with Frederick Hodges at the piano. Last month, Sean presented Dixie Days in beautiful New Orleans at a convention of the Magic Lantern Society, in conjunction with Margaret Bergh. He has performed with illustrated songs at previous West Coast Ragtime Festivals, the Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival, the Shasta Silent Film Festival, and, earlier this year, at the Corte Madera Centennial’s Ragtime Night festivities. He is an original member of 42nd St. Moon Productions and has appeared in over 20 of that company’s productions. He has impersonated the songwriter/performer Henry Russell at the Dickens Christmas Faire and has performed with the Great Nickelodeon Show at the Giornate del Cinema Muto in Italy, the Telluride Film Festival, the Niles Essanay Film Museum and San Francisco’s Castro Theatre, among other venues. His other credits include singing in the San Francisco Grace Cathedral Men’s Choir and performing with the Lamplighters and down the coast with the Great American Melodrama.
