'Washboard Kitty' Wilson

“Washboard Kitty” Wilson plays her embellished washboard, hand-crafted woodboard, Cajon drum, and hand-held percussion instruments, to fit particular occasions and music. Wearing Ragtime Era costumes, she provides energy and accent in her festival and concert performances with top ragtime pianists and ensembles. Kitty plays regularly in the Raspberry Jam Band and as one of Tom Brier’s Saloon Sweeties, and will accompany other Festival performers this weekend.

Kitty participates annually in several San Francisco Bay Area parades as a member of the spirited Los Trancos Woods Community Marching Band, and in the big washboard concert at the Monterey Dixieland Festival.
