'Washboard Kitty' Wilson

Wearing her Ragtime Era costumes and enthusiastic smile, “Washboard Kitty” provides versatile musical energy and accent to festival and concert performances with top ragtime pianists and ensembles. She alternates between playing her embellished musical washboard, hand-crafted woodboard, Cajon drum, and assorted hand-held percussion instruments, to enhance particular musical numbers. 

Kitty is a member of the Raspberry Jam Band, and of Tom Brier’s Saloon Sweeties, and will accompany other Festival performers this weekend.

In addition to her ragtime activity, Kitty joins jazz musicians in the annual Monterey Dixieland “Jazz Bash By The Bay,” and also entertains in various San Francisco Bay Area parades throughout the year as a member of the spirited Los Trancos Woods Community Marching Band.
